President

A Call to Action Oconee is a community campaign against domestic abuse.  We were birthed out of a heart for those in our community who were living with abuse and our desire to eradicate all types of abuse from our county and state.

The mission of A Call to Action Oconee (ACTA) is to help reduce domestic abuse in South Carolina, beginning with Oconee County, then spreading to surrounding counties.

We believe that in order to change the incidence of domestic abuse, we must first change the attitude of the entire community.  We must believe that it IS a problem, that it is OUR problem and that we can ALL do something to create a positive change!

A Call to Action Oconee works with other resource providers in the upstate of South Carolina to raise awareness of power based incidents in our counties and reduce the incidents of domestic and dating abuse.

Who  We  Are

We need the community to help us spread the word, educate and be willing to make a stand against domestic violence and other forms of power based violence in South Carolina.  South Carolina is currently number 6 in domestic violence deaths in the nation!
